I hope this is alright for the tarot card project =jieyi invited me to join back in...April? March? I procrastinated on it so long, I've forgotten when the project was actually established! Bad me.
I decided to do The World of the Major Arcana, and this is what came of the concept I had in my mind. The inspiration for this image was the beach, seashells, ears, the insides of cars, and nature in itself.
This depicts a motherly figure protecting her "child" (the earth) from the four elements.
The thing I am so proud of in this image...is the background. I've never done rocks before, I've never done splashing waves before...this was all a huge challenge for me that both frustrated me and caused me to be overjoyed with the outcome. I was persistent, despite my laziness, and I think this is one of my best pieces so far.
Please enjoy, and hold back on the critique. I'll explode if you guys nitpick it to death.
